Shaved Ice – August 16

TGIF, right?

Lots of talk about Daniel Alfredsson yesterday, after the new member of the Red Wings held a press conference in Ottawa. We’re now in the midst of a “he said, she said” situation, with people trying to figure out what went wrong between the Senators and their long-time captain. Alfredsson stated that contract negotiations stalled due to actions on the Senators’ side of things, while GM Brian Murray said that his captain must not have heard all the details from his agent, J.P. Barry.

Either way, Alfredsson’s now in Detroit, and I don’t think many Red Wings fans are going to be upset about how it happened, just happy that he’s in Hockeytown now.
