Thursday edition of Shaved Ice.

The U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame announced their Class of 2013 today, and there was a heavy Michigan presence included. Former Michigan State and Lake Superior State coach Ron Mason, Warren native and NHL All-Star Doug Weight and Plymouth Whalers owner Peter Karmanos, Jr., were three of the five honorees.

Amber Repke has played against boys her whole life, and she’s going to continue to do so when she joins the MWJHL this fall. Check it out right here.

Another hurdle has been cleared to get the Red Wings into a new building in Detroit – the Michigan Strategic Fund officially approved the request from Detroit’s Downtown Development Authority to use special tax increment revenues for funding.

Tom McCollum will be staying with the Grand Rapids Griffins next season, despite earlier reports that he would be done with the organization.

The national teams released their Olympic development camp rosters on Monday, and Team USA sure did have a lot of Michigan connections listed. Players who got camp invites from USA Hockey:
