Hope everybody had a great Father’s Day.
It was a rough weekend for the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Wings’ AHL affiliate failed to close out the Calder Cup Final both on Friday and Saturday, dropping Games 4 and 5 to Syracuse. Click on the numbers to read our game recaps from both contests.
Now, the series shifts back to New York for tomorrow night’s Game 6. If the Crunch manage another victory, the two teams will compete in a winner-take-all Game 7 Thursday night, again in Syracuse.
Henrik Zetterberg was recognized by the NHL for his efforts off the ice on Friday during Part I of the league’s awards presentation.
