More and more is coming out about the proposed NHL realignment, with Detroit moving to the “East”. ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun has reported that he obtained a copy of a league memo which outlines the proposed conference changes. It was originally reported by CBC’s Elliotte Friedman on Saturday. As a refresher, here’s the ‘conference’ the Wings could be in (please make this happen, NHL):

• Boston
• Buffalo
• Detroit
• Florida
• Montreal
• Ottawa
• Tampa Bay
• Toronto

Sure would like an excuse to visit those Canadian cities in the upcoming seasons.

Zach Redmond’s family released a statement praising the Winnipeg Jets’ training staff for their efforts in taking care of the Traverse City native after a terrible injury he suffered during a practice. The release said that Redmond is at a hospital in Raleigh with his family resting and is in good spirits.
