Wings take on the Jackets tonight.

The Columbus Blue Jackets come to town tonight to take on the Detroit Red Wings. We’ll be there to see how Jack Johnson and Co. fare against a depleted Red Wings line-up.

The Star is reporting that the Wings/Leafs Winter Classic is still a go for next year, along with the associated events at Comerica Park. And yeah, lots of other media outlets are saying the same.

We picked Port Huron native Jack Campbell to be our Michi-gamer today, after he stopped 21 of 22 for the Texas Stars last night to pick up another win in the AHL.

The Detroit News’ Terry Foster wrote a piece about a hockey tournament coming to Jack Adams Arena this weekend. Check it out right here, it’s pretty cool.

In case you missed it yesterday, we posted a bunch of youth hockey articles. The Honeybaked one has a recently-retired Red Wing included in it, by the way.

A big congratulations from the MiHockey staff goes out to Ron Rolston – the Fenton native has been named interim head coach of the Buffalo Sabres after the club let go of Lindy Ruff yesterday. We can’t wait to see another Michigan-born bench boss in the NHL.

Cam Atkinson’s back for the Blue Jackets tonight, but the club put Brandon Dubinsky on the injured reserve list.

Gabriel Landeskog is back on the ice – the Avalanche captain has been recovering from a concussion that came after a big hit by Brad Stuart in January.

Harlem Shake by Western Michigan University. And Andy Murray is in it. Pure gold (and black, of course).

JLA tonight. Can’t wait.
