The Red Wings announced some roster moves early Monday morning that means some shuffling for the Grand Rapids’ Griffins line-up.

Detroit recalled goaltender Petr Mrazek and forward Tomas Tatar from their AHL affiliate in Grand Rapids, while reassigning goaltender Tomas McCollum.

The club also announced that they have placed Brendan Smith on injured reserve.

Mrazek, 20, has impressed in his first professional season with Grand Rapids. The Ostrava, Czech Republic, native holds a 16-7-3-1 record in AHL play this season, with a .916 save percentage and a 2.26 goals-against average – strong enough numbers to earn him a spot in the AHL All-Star Classic in Jan.

Tatar, 22, is one of the top prospects in the Red Wings’ system. In 44 AHL regular-season games this season, Tatar has 39 points. Last year, Tatar had 58 points in 76 games with the Griffins. Tatar cracked the Wings’ line-up for nine games during the 2010-11 season, recording one goal and an even plus-minus.

Smith, 23, had played in all eight of the Red Wings’ games this season, recording one assist and a +4 rating. He sustained an upper-body injury during the first period of the Wings’ road loss to Columbus Saturday evening.
