CCHA Players of the Week – Nov. 19

Ferris State forward Kyle Bonis was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association’s offensive player of the week today.

Postgame Offensive Player of the Week

Kyle Bonis, Ferris State University

Sr., F (Lindsay, ON)

Bonis had a goal and an assist, and was the Perani Cup third star, in a 4-3 overtime win at Bowling Green on Friday. He scored the game-winning goal and added as assist in a 3-1 win over the Falcons on Saturday.

 

Gladiator® Defenseman of the Week

Robbie Russo, Notre Dame                        

So. (Westmont, IL)

Russo had an assist in a 3-1 win at Michigan on Thursday. He scored twice, had an assist, and was the Perani Cup first star in a 4-1 win over the Wolverines on Friday.  He finished the weekend +2 with five shots on goal and two blocks.

 

Goaltender of the Week

Steven Summerhays, Notre Dame

Jr. (Anchorage, AK)

Summerhays stopped 24 shots and was the Perani Cup first star in a 3-1 win at Michigan on Thursday and made 28 saves and was the Perani Cup third star in a 4-1 win over the Wolverines on Friday.

 

Gongshow Rookie of the Week

Jay Williams, Miami

G (McLean, VA)

Williams stopped 19 shots, and two more in the shootout, in a 2-2 tie/shootout win against Michigan State on Friday.  He made 13 saves, and was the Perani Cup first star, in a 2-0 shutout of the Spartans on Saturday.
