Shaved Ice – April 2

Welcome back to the work week, everybody. Hopefully the fact that it’s the last week of the NHL regular season and that the Frozen Four is coming up in just a few days will get you through this Monday morning.

Quick hits

Jiri Hudler was the hero last night for the Red Wings, scoring in regulation and in the shootout to help Detroit get an important two points heading into the final stretch of their regular season. The Wings currently sit in fourth place in the West, but have division foes Nashville and Chicago battling them for home ice in the first round. Also, Kyle Quincey will have a hearing with the league after his hit on former Red Wing Tomas Kopecky. Quincey got a five-minute major and was ejected for a high hit on the Florida forward.
